Only??? There are certasinly some good ones there, but what would we transport to a Solar Power Plant? The advertising is cool idea - with making your own ad, but probably just eye candy that would be fiddly to make. Wonders of the world is a good idea, but how about changing it to tourist attaractions? Cause that way they arn't so nation specific, yet they still function as you said they would. But otherwise, i love em!

I agree. Perhaps someone should sum up all ideas on a webpage or in a word document, make a poll for every idea. Then we can make a list of features that will make it into the game.
Perhaps a database driven website... I'll look into that tonight when I'm at home.
Station improvement
can build hotels,retaurant,storage for cargo,refregirator storage

Interesting idea. Probably splitting stations to warehouses/loading bays/terminals will do the trick.

- Airports should be builded by towns and free for every transport company. There should be some option how to buy more passengers to your company at the airport.
- There should be civil traffic on the roads.
- How about light rail trains? Those whom dive uder the streets in midtown and gets up at the suburbs? Rails might be in a center of bigger street, thats nasty!
- The map should be much, much more bigger. This may help to get cities look like more realistic by size and by local traffic systems. Also population of town should be much more realistic.
- Maybe I don't have to mention, that the game should be playable over the internet.
But what's the one thing we should'nt forget: The spirit of Transport Tycoon must survive with the next version!!

maps will be bigger (engine created by rein supports maps to 2048 squares...ttd only 256 squares, but new engine will be created)

Well, shadow, so far it sounds good. Almost ten times bigger map size sounds more than good, so let's hope this project will do what it is planned to do.

Having winter where you get a layer of snow and so on is not the same as building with giant mountains and permanent snow and permafrost and so on. The latter is a lot more challenging.
hmmm Ive been thinking about airports...
why not make it where you have 2 types runway short and long varius terminal buildins/facilities... assign item each a point value then make it to where you can build an airport with a base point value of x and combine different elements to build the airport.... as you rating increases so do the available points to be used for construction @ that airport...making improvments possible
Hmm, for a Solar Power Plant I suppose you could transport chemicals to it which they release into the atmosphere and make it always sunny.. heh. And passengers, for the people that work there and tour groups (school field trips, anyone?)
R/C/I... hmm, yeah... At beginning of the game, the zones could care less about pollution or noise, but as the game progresses they eventually get weary of both.. Residential most of all. (Residential is first to complain about noise/pollution levels, followed by Commercial, and then Industrial. Though Industrial has a lot of leeway.) Border zones could have buildings from either group... Residential areas have lots of homes that produce, say, 2 inter-city passengers for every 1 outbound passenger. They can have either 1 small airport or 1 heliport, but not both. Commercial zones can have 1 large airport and 2 small airports or 1 large airport and 2 heliports. Intercity bus stops can be on roads, and big ones can support up to 5 intercity buses but are like bus stops. Be careful of the average pollution and noise the buses make, or people will start to complain(lower your ratings, and therefore passengers). Outbound bus stops can support 10 buses but can only stop at outbound bus stops and generally can go faster than intercity buses. Intercity rail can connect to your larger rail network if you wish, but most people will object to the trains with loud whistles.. so there could be some intercity rail engines that could be used for outbound stuff if you really wanted to..
Multilevel bridges.. heheheh. You should see Portland, Oregon. I think it holds the record for most bridges in a city in the world. It's got multilevel bridges, curving bridges, multilevel curving bridges... the Steel Bridge has an intercity rail inbetween the roads.. there's even a causeway bridge with a three-way traffic intersection with a traffic light. Heh. There could be overpasses too.. basically one tile bridges.
