Maybye just making screenshot and submitting it to some special "black list" website?

It would be deleted by administrator to save space, but name+company name+IP+what did he do would stay forever.

I think we could use a Land buying limit & use the abandoned rail patch. And it could be used with any moderator/kick suggestions.

When someone wants to reserve land they can go through the following steps:

1. Use the land buying tool. They can use this tool for what it’s made for; buying land, and you can buy as much land as you want, there are no limits. I can use this tool to reserve land around industries/towns, plan for the future, and block competitors. It’s what this tool allows. If you simply kick them you might get people complaining, ‘why can’t I reserve land when I’m clearly allowed to, If I get kicked it’s because you can’t play the game, there are no rules saying you can’t do it'. And how much land is too much? Unless there is a limit it can be a fine line.

If we can limit land buying, it may stop this scenario from happening. I don’t know about implementation but it doesn’t seem too hard. With moderators being able to kick these people, they can complain with their (valid IMO) argument. Having rules available on each server as suggested, may stop a demand for this, but if there are no moderators/kicking it won’t stop it, and the line may be blurred again.

2. If you can’t buy lots of land then you can simply use rail/road/buildings to reserve land. There are also no rules stopping you from doing this, but now you’re clearly not using the features of the game for what they were intended. Anyone doing this has no argument for what they are doing. Moderators can kick people doing this, as there is no longer a fine line distinguishing right and wrong.

Although we could kick these people no worries with an IRC/moderator feature, I hear there is already a patch to remove unused rail. We could simply use this patch to force people to move on to the next step as it is more time consuming and has more of a downside.

3. Build rail/roads on the land you want, that actually gets used. You can run a vehicle on the infrastructure to keep it there, and at a cost to you. You might not care about the cost or company rating loss, but you had to go to the extra lengths to do it, and hopefully a moderator kicks you.

To sum up: moderators and kick suggestions may go a long way to reduce unpleasant play, but I also think it may be helpful to have limits as well. Maybe as an option? For many people this wouldn't change gameplay at all.

I think I agree with everyone that says; land buying limits will not solve the problem!

Land that are bought could have a timelimit?

If you buy a land, you could choose 1 year, 5 year or 10 years, various prices on this and give people that are blocked a chance to build later if the owner of land forgets it later...

Or ?
Build around it, build over it, build under it! I dont care get me my stuff!
