That Purno person is actually Mr. X. I noticed that in the dutch trainset topic, some sprites that was posted originally by Purno, was now under the name of Mr. X. Is something wrong?

As amusing as their joke is, lets leave that for the OT forum. I'm still eager to see what the DanFactoryMacK churns out next!

How about some revised passenger cars :D The originals were a bit short in the | view, so I lengthened them slightly. I also added marker lights to the tail end of the mail cars in case somebody wants it on the end of the train as opposed to the front.

I also added a "clerestory" style roof to the old-time passenger coaches giving them a more 'heavyweight' look.

Lastly, the dome car has been added, so all the peeps can watch the gorgeous arctic scenery from the top.

Those will do nicely :)). Looking good! I especially like the light on the mail car, as I will sometimes have mail-cars following my trains :)).

**NOTE** A new image showing the status of the set has been posted on the first page.

Well, my theory is they're called "head-end cars", so they should normally go at the front :D Sometimes I like throwing one on the end of my locals though.

Now, as for more from the factory, here they are :D

GMD FP9 sprite - for those passenger runs that don't need the high speed (or cost) of an E9. The bulge on the top is a winterization hatch, used on northern roads to keep snow out of the intakes.

UAC Turbo Train - Complete w/matching coaches and mail car :D

GMD GP60 - For those high-speed long distance freight hauls before the SD70M

I also find them quite handy as a replacement for the Northerns on my food runs.

Fair enough :D I have a feeling FP9's and F7's will regularly mix on my freights.

Now that's an interesting point, and it really depends on what you set for the retirement dates. Back before we got the early-retirement feature working (which I really like, BTW), I would cheat by putting a wimpy but reliable switch engine as the lead loco, and follow it with a heavy-duty but less reliable loco to provide oomph. Of course, the HP and TE from both locos count, but only the reliability from the first loco is relevant. Heh, heh, heh. With early-retirement now, you can't really do that anymore.

Hey I was wondering if you are going to do any random liverys for any of the freight coachs?

There's a few variations in there, but all the cars are company coloured (+black, white and grey) so there's nowhere near as many variants as, say, the US Set.

If this isn't already drawn as a variation or something, it would be nice if half of the hi-cube boxcar for paper was white, half company colours. Though the loading doors would stay fully company colours.
Also adds some variation to the colour schemes in the set :)
I hope you don't mind, i done a demonstration for you to show how the colour scheme would look if implemented in the set.

Hmmmmmm *Thinks* That would actually be good instead of the straight white version w/CC stripe for the modern reefer

OK, a filler sprite for the RS3 (Same as the one in the USSet w/a few minor tweaks - Will be finished soon), the GP38-2 and a slightly revised (and more accurate) Turbo Train loco and cars.

Okay... v 0.5 then.

I've thrown in (in a seperate grf) some searchlight signals I made this morning (currently, replaces both semaphore and light signals)... they're more "standard" than the US Set signals (with regards to pre and pbs signals), and they're more American than the defaults.

If you're in the mood to play with signals, the actual US set ones need some adjustment and improvement.

A possible bug, both the Hudson and Nothern weigh below 45 tonnes
I tested this using OpenTTD though (r2471M)
The mallet works, by the way
