Well ive relised one map, pretty basic, just to get oppions, and to see if any errors happen.

Sadly they did happen, and yet i did not tick any trains etc, but A LOT of you guys got faults all from the 21st set, but i havent used that set in a long time.

So im not to shore about handing out more maps due to the number of error... oh wait i think i relised one befor this, not shore, all well.

If I do send out more maps, my tip to yous is just be up to date with all mods here. it save time, and give you larger choice of trains to use

Or you keep it nice and tide, and keep its modsfree/checking it 100% and give links to the used mods.

Well said IA!

Our computers are getting really full of Mods. And those of us who are interested in developing new scenarios really need to keep them free from anything but the basics that come with the game.

As you say, we can always provide links to Mods that we recommend for a particular scenario, but of course those who download it may have others that they prefer.

The only way that I know, to keep Locomotion clean, is to install it on a second computer, and use that one to develop scenarios only.

OldTimer: some scenarios are only enjoyable with the country's own trains... I think, we have to use only vehicle objects, they cannot make problem, and easily can be deleted.
And: If somebody publishes a scenario, he can relise a version with mods, and he have to relise one WITHOUT ANY OF THEM!

Its much better to produce scenarios WITHOUT ANY extras, which could be added by the player. I agree that they are more enjoyable with the countries own trains but how many different versions of a scenario would that entail? 6 - 7 - 8?

There are several scenarios that I reject as being unplayable on my computer as they will not install unless I download a particular Mod. Whereas if the producer had published it Mod Free, I could have decided to add a Mod if I so wished, or play it as it came. :)

That bit unsettles me a bit. Seems to suggest that once you go down the mod path there is no turning back. No problem if you play on your own but make community projects that little bit more difficult.

However it can also add interest. When I played a game with Larry we swapped it every 24 hours. Each playing no more than 3 years of the game. Larry has the 'no breakdown' mod installed. I dont. It added a new dimension to our game. Some trains were prone to breakdown (the ones I brought) and some were 100% reliable. The 100% reliable ones remained that way even when I had the game. When I played I became very careful where the unreliable trains were used...preferred early weak but 100% locomotives to powerful unreliable ones. When Larry played he usually replaced them.

If you use an existing landscape to design a new scenario, then many object aren't to remove again.
Even if you startup to build a scenario from scratch, you can have a problem
e.g. The earthbridge from Steve is in the trackst.dat too.
So it can´t be removed.
Only rightway to make a scenario is to install a 100% clean version of the game from cd.
If you have options in that for special features to play the game, then give a remark like:NL set or ÖBB set is in favor to play this scenario.
