Why would you want to have TTD open twice anyway?

I don't think that'd work anyway.

You could try loading TTD under two different users on NT/2K/XP though - that might work.

I had this idea for a feature, with a menu command, or a sign cheat. To export and import the Map data to an Txt file, so that programmers (like myself) can create easy map editors.

I really mis the random placing of industries, and i would like to create huge towns, but at this moment that's impossible :( and the tarrain tool can't be set bigger then 10x10 (or something like that) maybe we could easy import heighmaps of real world places then :)

Well, it doesn't have to be a text file, any file will do, al long as it isn't compressed (like the save games)

I have a suggestion!

When you send a vehicle to a depot, it is serviced the moment it enters the depot, and the 'last serviced' date reflects this. Unfortunately, this is no good if you decide to leave the vehicle in the depot for some time for whatever reason.

As you have all probably noticed, the reliability rating of a vehicle continues to decrease even if it is sitting idle in a depot. If you leave it in there long enough, the first thing it does the moment you give the 'go' command is breakdown, and make a return trip to the depot for servicing.

My suggestion is this: perhaps it would be possible to service the vehicle not when it enters the depot, but when it leaves, with the 'last serviced' date reflecting this. That way, the above problem may be avoided.

What do you think?

How hard would it be to allow construction while the game is paused?
Why can't time be metric?
