IMHO it *should* be possible to re-name or remove a NG which no longer
receives traffic or has evolved into something else. As posted elsewhere
on this thread maybe there is a need for an alt.games.strategy.transport
NG? How do we propose this?

It may be possible on other networks, like rec, talk etc. but on alt it
isn't. For me, alt is the only network I will read NG's on. Unless someone
takes a grip of the alt network, and I would oppose such a move, this will
never happen.

My old provider was unable to install the NG's I requested. Willing but
unable (maybe unwilling in reality but I cannot proof it).
My new one, the German Telekom, provides this NG since Christmas 1999
without any request.

I wouldn't like to see this happen, as it would be like casting all those
posts to the side and discriminating against them. Not that I would, it just
doesn't seem fair. Mind you, alt.config recommends before a group split,
that for easier counting of postings, that is the way you should do it.
However, to reiterate, I'm against.

No, I don't mean Americans, I mean lazy people who haven't heard of some
form of proper sentence structure. In any case, the people from foreign
countries might probably write better, as in England, the English you speak
is mainly inherited, and then you try and tidy it up in English lessons,
sometimes successful, other times not. In other countries, you start at
nothing (not neccesarily the case, but it may be true), and then build on
it, until you/the teacher think you have achieved the best possible.

I wouldn't say all my posts have perfect spelling and grammar, but I try my
best. I know how to do all the basic things, which sadly some can't do, like
capital letters, full stops, commas and tenses. In the UK, some people have
problems with all that. And then more advanced stuff, like semi colons,
infinitives, correct usage of apostrophes, and more. I 'think' that I can do
most of these, but not perfectly
