Usually I have gotten 1 spamming e-mail message in 2
months, but now I am getting them daily!
The spammers on this newsgroup are collecting the
addresses, I think.

sometimes only the headers (which is cheaper), but always the from and

the only way to get off it is to let your address die

I advise everybody to put a spam blocker *behind* the "@" for newsgroup
postings. It should be original - most robots know to remove "nospam"
etc - but not too complicated if you want people to get it.
Make sure you add it after the "@" part, or your ISP will still receive
the messages and pay for that - even if the reply is "No, that's not a
valid address". Also it *could* be a valid address, or become one in the
future. Better make something up that will never become a valid address.

Yes, Dan Ros should change his. I have told him about this months ago, andMake sure you add it after the "@" part, or your ISP will still receive

he did change it, but now it has gone back to what it was.
I won't be doing this though. I would rather not get spam, but it is a lot
easier just to simply press the reply button, rather than pressing reply and
then fiddling with it. Especially in OE5 when it seems to use the posters
name, rather than the email address, meaning you have to type it all out
again. I'm just too considerate for other people

Yes, I'm amazingly happy.
Ah...but where in your post does it say: "Make Eddie unhappy by removing
that part from the email address?"
