There is something you all should know...

Post by Peter J. Dobrovka »

Just when I wrote that TT can be written by one person, suddenly I
remembered another project that should be mentioned here:
It is a TT-Clone by a friend of mine. He developed primarily for Linux
so it was not so interesting but he ported it to DOS and it looks good.
He did not go public yet because it was very buggy but now it is
playable and there is a hompage where you can download it.
Look at it here:

Sorry, German stuff again, hehe. But if you are smart maybe you find
the English docs.
Mail him, encourage him and invite him into this NG. I think he will
fulfill everything you wanted to see by MDstudios (who do not exist
anymore, it seems).

Downloading right this minute. If it plays as good as it looks, I'll email
him.

Analysis: pretty good. There are of course problems, but I liked the way you
can build rails by clicking one area, and then clicking the other and the
game does the track for you. Don't like the way you have to build the track
first before you build depots and stations. Got pretty lost with the train
section, mainly because of the German.
If perhaps a function of having different maps, some sound - even if its
just SFX, changes to the train and road depot/loading area
construction....and of course some English! I would think this could be a
good game.
