It sure did, but hey, those amateurs were in the government which fell the fastest in Dutch history and now they are so small they no longer can make a difference, even if they would be in a government. Only now the biggest party has gone nuts.

You can say about these "amateurs" what ever you like, but at least they had some guts. 8)

Hehe, dutch politics, I have no idea what anyone's going on about :P I would vote but I have no idea how to... I can select an option and press vote alright (for those of you who were wondering) but, which one does "democratic" fall into? (I think we're a democrocy... I'm not sure though).

Vote

Post by RaptorTycoon »

I'm centre-right, i cant vote yet... I would not even if i could. There are no party's that stand for what I stand for, well not really anyway. As for Pim he WAS a good person, well I think he was, I Still get sick whwn I see that picture of him shot. And he was NOT hitler2 as many people said, thats not posseble like in there was a black man in his party. I'm black myself and would have voted for him if i could, but now with him dead his party is f#cked up to say the least.

When I'm 18 i'll vote for "none of the above"

Thats best being that there actually all liars, and you have to chose between them. So I just won't.

(even though I'm under 18)... It woulda been much easier if you wrote the actual names of teh government  but that's just me

We had a party like that by the sounds here in Australia called "One Nation".

The party founder "Pauline Hanson" broke away from the center right party (the liberal party) because she believed Aboriginal people were getting too many government benefits and wasting it on alcahol and drugs amoungst other things (a common gripe of right wing partys).

The funny thing is that she technically wasn't racist because she didn't say racist things (depending on your point of view).. but she had ideas that didn't conform with our mostly centre politics style of government. I don't agree with what she had to say mainly because I believe in a balanced society with a minimum living standard, but she did raise issues that common people don't agree with because they don't understand our complex society.

What resulted in the end because she was uneducated (as a few right wing people are imo) is she eventually got fined millions of dollars for illegaly registering her political party. That and she got a trashing in government when her criticisms were raised.. most of it was dismissed because she didn't have a logical and rational way of debating these problems.

I think too often people pass off the right wing attitude as racism because its a stereotypical view of right wing attitudes. Right wing doesn't always mean evil and twistsed like Hitler.. same as left wing doesn't mean evil like Stalin. But those evil people end up in those kinds of partys because of their twisted views best corresponding with their kind of ideology.

If you want to read a few good books on this, go read Animal Farm and 1984 (mostly a negative opinion on Marx's ideas).

Anyone on either extreme doesn't belong in main stream politics if you ask me.
