Open TTD 0.4 Problem with Grf Files
I have noticed that if i include more then seven grf files in openttd.cfg, the game crashes. Is that correct?

At the moment new graphics are not fully working, and are the suspected cause of a number of problems. If you do have any problems with them, try without and see if you get the same. New graphics are due to be fully supported soon, but how soon nobody knows.

How does it crash, what grf files are you using?
I loaded up 8 ones and nothing happened. We really need more information cause as I have said before just saying that it crashes DOES NOT HELP. A savegame/config file, screenshot and a clear description of the problem is almost always needed!!!
Also shampie said they are not found. Well I think you either mistyped them, or didn't look at the cases of the files cause that works as well.
The hardcoded max amount of newgrf files is currently set to 32. So don't try to load more

Then I misstyped about 20 filesnames.
I have checked it often.. just maybe I am writing it wrong but no.
even renaming to like: a.grf and then adding that it gives the same error that it cannot be found, and it is within the same directory as the other files that do work.
all the other grf's having a error I doubt that, since I have used 'm before in ealier versions of openTT.

post your config file
Judging from the config file you posted in http://tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=15310
No wonder it doesn't find them. Ditch the "/NewGRF/" path and just put down the files and put them in the data/ folder. In theory it should work; it works for me as well, but just try it without the extra folder at first.

Code: Select all
[newgrf]
/NewGRF/ttrsw.grf
/NewGRF/newbridgesw.grf
/NewGRF/taxiwP2.grf
/NewGRF/multistoreycarpark.grf
/NewGRF/trafficsetw.grf
