[Nobug] - Problems with change from NTP to NPF

Post by skidd13 »

When I tryed to change the wayfinding ai, there were serveral problems!
These Problems do not appear with NTP!

I don't know if this is a bug! Maybe its caused by the 2-way-systems I mostly build!

Here is one of the 2-way-systems I like! This one is to feed a 2-way-accessable-station

This train ignores the signal and want to go where another train could not get out. If I try to send the train manualy in the opposite direction it goes some signals further and goes the same way back! So its locked again!

What's NWF? Do you mean NPF (New PAthFinding?) Or something else?

I mean NPF! Sorry language-confilict!

I tryed it with openttd nightly 2260 linux!
There the game crashed with Debug output:

Code: Select all

openttd: roadveh_cmd.c:1165: RoadFindPathToStation: Assertion `trackdir != 0xFF' failed.

Ok the crash is fixed! Wow! But the small problem is still there!
Some trains try to access a full port at a station, instead of going in the circle I created! Maybe its a conflict between my construction in my 1. post (the last attached screenshot) and the NPF!

The old pathfinder has some limitations and that's why it needs a lot of guidance. For this reason a new pathfinder was written that hopefully solves this. So if you experience bugs, turn on the new pathfinder, there is no more work on the old one.

Hint: you can end sentences with other characters than exclamation marks, too - doesn't make you look as aggressive.
