[REL] Chemworks and Ore Mine as city buildings

Post by fultron78 »

Hi,

Here are a new chemworks and iron ore mine released as city buildings. See my previous post if you want to learn how they work. If you want to just use them:

To build a scenario:
Copy the contents of the "BUILD" folder into your ObjData folder.
Build the scenario using these buildings. They are set to produce 24 units of cargo per month, per building (ie: 1x1 and 2x2 buildings produce the same amount).

To play a scenario:
When you've finished building, copy the contents of the "PLAY" folder into your ObjData folder. Now your new industries should produce cargo (chem or iron ore) and not be destroyed, unless the AI interferes.

Here's the "proof of concept"

Yep, that was a mistake. Must have pressed "submit" twice or something. Hopefully an admin can get rid of the other one.

Oh, something else I should note: I did not translate the names of these new buildings into languages other than British and American English, and possibly French (although I actually used the English words). Best to run them using English as your language setting for now, or else they will appear as something like "Town Square" or "House" in your native language.

Cheers,
Bryan

Nice work, but you can get this to happen already, but very slowly, having a town next to an Industry, and let it grow will result in that industry being merged into the city itself

cheers on this anyways, at least your doing better then me.
