Track Replacement

Hey all,

What is needed to replace the graphics of the track trains run on?

Would it be possible to have (just for visual), normal track, electrified track replacing monorail and high-speed track replacing maglev?

If that could be achieved then im sure it wouldnt be too difficult to change the train types so that say the ICE, Thalys, TGV etc can run on high-speed track at fulls speed, but reduced elsewhere. Electrifed Track for all trains requiring an overhead power supply, and normal track for steam and diesel trains.

Would any of this be possible to implement.

The first part you suggest could be done, but it is more work making trains run on multiple types of track, and, to be honest, I suspect that it wouldn't get done unless there was a major rewrite of the track systems. Of course, that would result in even more different track types...
