It's been long since I last played TTD, but with latest alpha 45 hotfix, in any loaded game several trains are stopping on their own, at random places. Trying to make the train to keep going is often useless.
I noticed these trains are shown in white in the trains list. Exactly what switch is causing this, and how do I make the trains to behave normally again?
Ps. I hope is not a problem finding the path because in older versions, they always found a proper path (sometimes not instantly, but they kept going straight until they find one, due to the network design) .

Andrex, stop being such a drama queen. You keep posting these problems that have already been discussed at depth and then expect a herd of people to hover over you and feed you the information.Andrex wrote:Please reply one at a time only... no rush.
If you're too lazy to do even the most modest search for this yourself, don't be surprised if everybody else is too lazy to spoonfeed you the information you could've found yourself.
Hint: this has to do with path-based signalling, which is still in development.
The stopping trains is caused when a train gets confused in a PBS block. Previously it would jam and not be allowed to reverse; then, it was allowed to reverse but would often crash into something. Now, it just nicely stops. I find this to be still aggravating, but less so, as it's easier to isolate the problem and fix the underlying PBS bug in future releases.

Considering the huge variety of new and somewhat profound Patch changes that are coming up, and likely many bugs at first, I think it would be good if the Configurator could save the last 4 or 5 Patch versions.
