About linux may be right.. but if you have tried every single windows version ( *COUGH* like me ). You'll notice windows XP really is the best of all windowses...CombatGold1 wrote:Windows XP is a piece of s***!
Windows 2000 is the best of them all but they all suck. 3.1 is the most stable (or 3.11).
LINUX BEATS WINDOWS!!!!

listen we all know thatlinux is a lot better than windows, i totally agree, but some people or can not install it or dont have time to learn it and in that case we give them advice on what would be better to install, i thinks its or win 2000 (if you can do all the configurations for the network and stuff like that on your own) and win xp if you cant be bovered because he does everything automaticly

Not really, it does crash on me and it doesn't run my programs as good as Windows 2000 does.Observer wrote:About linux may be right.. but if you have tried every single windows version ( *COUGH* like me ). You'll notice windows XP really is the best of all windowses...CombatGold1 wrote:

Either you don't use it right or you have funny hardware. It is certainly the best windows made. Its not a opinion its a fact. You can't test it on one pc and say its crap. It will differ from pc to pc. As it happens it works great on all my pcs. Well the 2 i have it onCombatGold1 wrote:Not really, it does crash on me and it doesn't run my programs as good as Windows 2000 does.

Win2000
advantages:
Its smaller, lighter so its faster
disadvantages:
Its less consumer-oriented, its UGLY and it crahed at my pc more often than XP.
Also.. I have a laptop, that means plugging in and plugging out of the network the entire time. Try that in win2000, it takes 2 days to see another computer on the net compared to 2seconds in XP.

I know what you mean. Sometimes there are pcs missing in the workgroup when I know for a fact there on and working. The shortcuts work just not the direct links. Silly windows.Observer wrote: Also..
