Signal1waittime problem

Post by Oleg »

Greetings.
Recently I've downloaded a43 and here's my problem:
not depending on the signal1waittime setting (i set it to 255) as soon as a train encounters a double-sided signal it turns back immediately without waiting at all! That's very annoying since I sometimes have one station which can be entered from both sides.

Besides, zbusw.grf doesn't seem to work with a43, and there's no newer version at ttd.cernun.net.

Thanks.

Hope I'm not out of line here, but I too use Zoom's Russian Buses. I fixed these last night - so here is the A43 compliant GRF

As the the turning round of your trains - I have not experienced this and also use the 255 setting - perhaps if you can post your savegame, ttdpatch.cfg and newgrfw.cfg

Oracle
My signal2waittime setting is also 255 and it seems to work better, though if the train has to wait for a very long time, it turns back too.

Thanks for the file, i'll certainly give it a try.

Does this happen with all trains and all signals, or just some of them?

It could be that it's a path-based signal and the train cannot find a path through the PBS block, so it's not allowed to pass the signal and thus turns back.
