Refitting

Post by way_2_fun »

I'm using alpha 42, and I'm having some refitting troubles. I can most definetaly refit my train wagons (from the DBXL set), but on the odd occurance, clicking the 'refit' button does nothing. After restarting my game, it continues to work ... until it stops working again. It gets quite annoying. Any suggestions on how to fix?

And while I'm here, can it be fixed so that you can build railtracks under an existing bridge? In my alpha, you have to destroy the bridge, build the track and re-build the bridge. It too, is quite annoying.

I didn't do my research, so please excuse that.

I have no clue about the first, but the second is caused by the custumbridgehead switch.
Mek made a small error in there, but it is already fixed and will be part of alpha 43. 8)

Okay, well thanks for your answer Rob.

My first problem has been solved, sort of. It was just a simple mouse problem, everything works fine today.

I am having this problem too. Reloading my savegame seems to fix it for a while.

Huh. I've had a different problem, where I refit a train, the money gets spent... but it didn't actually refit. When I do it again, it works. This has happened a couple of times, but not consistently.

I have the same refitting trouble with A42 and dbsetXLW 8. My workaround is to close all windows except the one I want to refit, and then put it at the centre of the screen. Then refitting mostly succeeds.

You're right. When I said it was just a simple mouse problem, well it's not anymore. It's been acting up again.

Unfortunately, I've been unable to reproduce this problem.

I'd very much appreciate if someone could send me a ttdpatch.cfg and a savegame together with explicit instructions how to trigger this bug. Otherwise I won't be able to investigate further (too frustrating :/)...

I thought I'd seen a post from you that you'd seen a similar bug? I'll keep an eye out for it in future.
