error newgrfw.cfg not found

what does this mean? anyway of removing it?

It means that you have no newgrf.cfg file in you TTD dir. Either make one, or turn the newgraphics off. Use TTDX Configurator to change the settings.

You can just make an empty file called newgrfw.cfg and the error will go away, or even better, you could just install a few new graphics sets.
