Global pathfinding slows down the game

Post by shrap »

I play with nightly r1851 map 1024x1024. I switched on Global pathfinding (NPF). When i have only 20-30 trains, its good, they find their way across whole map without any checkpoint, but with only double amout of trains (50-60) it lags. It lags while money go out due to daily costs of trains. I planned to have much more times trains, but it will be totally unplayable. I dont know, if it is bug or my PC is slow (Athlon XP 2GHz, 512RAM@333,7200rpm disc :). So who could tell me, where the problem is?

PS.: Sry about/of my english :p

The global pathfinding is still very beta [aka: crap atm], turn it off untill it's finished ;)
You will notice a lot of bugs with it as well :)
