Buy vehicle button is grayed out

Hi all,

After playing locomotion for a few moths, I was trying to go back to TTDW. I've installed the program, the ttdpatch and a few graphic sets. I've also installed TTDXconfigurator and ran the update-processes.
I've updated the .txt files, ran the mkpttxt tool and fired up the ttdpatchw.exe (alpha 42)

It loads without warnings and the game starts without any warnings. The newgrf stuff is installed and the .cfg updated.

However, with most of the (internet downloaded) scenarios I try to load, I have a grayed-out buy vehicle button... Yes, I have busstops (or docks) and I do have enough money.
If I start a new game, or if I load a (downloaded) saved game, I can buy vehicles.
I even doenloaded a scenario and saved game called " new world" . The save game works fine but the scenario has, yeah, you've guessed it a grayed out buy button...

I've puzzled for a few hours, moved some files around but I can't put my finger on what's wrong...
Before I post all kinds of data from my TTDW and machine, is there anything obvious (but not that obvious to me) that I've missed and might be causing this??

Your problem isn't having bus stops or not, You need DEPOTS .

I think I have to re-read the manual again... Thanks Hyronymus. I will go into my corner now and RTFM before asking silly questions again...
