corrupted savegame

some person mailed me a game which went broken ...
he said he saved game ... then other day he tried to load but he could no more

I checked the game and it seems it does not work no matter what are settings of ttdpatch.cfg and newgrfw.cfg (I cleared both and still does not work)

It looks to me like someone ran into a disk-full while saving. TTDLX apparently doesn't check for this, but just quits writing. Of course, when it attempts to load the partial save, it fails.
