Problem With Electric Rails

So I have OpenTTD 0.3.5 up and running on OSX, but I've noticed that a lot of graphics are made for Windows/DOS. I've read through some help files and I managed to get some train sets running with the *.grf files. So anyway, I have the file for electric rails (elrails.grf, I believe) but I'm not sure how this works.
I have edited my openttd.cfg to include it but it still won't show up!
I also have tried putting in 'electrifiedrailway on' in the openttd.cfg file as well but no luck.

Any insight would be helpful! Thanks.

I'm not a graphics expert but 'electrifiedrailway on' is a TTDPatch option, isn't it?

OTTD doesn't support TTDPatch's style of electrified rails.. yet.. maybe it will at some point, or someone will write a patch for it.
