[Request]S-Bahn Zürich

Post by KawaiiImoto-e »

I'm new here, like to play Locomotion, but I miss the regional Railways from Zürich.

What makes the Zürcher S-Bahn special is, that it youses doubldecker carriages on allready existing normal gauge tracks, and so it can transport more passengers with less wagons. (Norm is Loc, 2. Class, 2. / 1. Class, 2. Class Stearing).

About the Driving Engine:
Type: Re 450 000 ... 114
Year: 1989 - 1997
Wight: 74 t
Power: 4350 PS / 3200 kW
Max Speed: 130 km/h

The Re 4/4 IV (Lok 2000) allready featured in Locomotion is a successor of this Re 450.

More Info about the Zürcher S-Bahn in German here

About the composiition of the train:

As mentioned above, a full S-Bahn train consists of a engine, 2 middle wagons (Type A and AB) and a stearing wagon and build a unit of about 100 meters lenght and can transport about 400 Passengers. One unit can be connected with one or two more units. (Most stations have a limit of 300 meters).

PS: Please forgive my bad english, but I try.

is it correct that the locomotive is part of the train itselfs? what I mean is that the doubledekker continiues into the locomotive. Or do I need new lenses?

You may need new lenses.

The Locomotive is autonom, but designed to fit the train sheme, so everything looks neat. The Swiss Railways (SBB CFF FFS) tested the locomotive for transporting goods in a pair of 2, and it worked.

The Loco also features a different kind of connection at the front, for easy connect and disconnect of two units.

But to date, I never saw a loco alone, without wagons.

Just looked at the pictures.

It almost looks like the same.. I think it's based on the German one, don't know the differences, but in Locomotion, a new Paintjob and a nice loco should do.

That's no fake door. It is actually the door to the post compartement.

It's a completely different train, but indeed in loco a paintjob would do :D

Gruezi!
In compliance with Oppie and scrat, we would certainly be able to repaint their rolling stock, as well as to change it's data. Giving a Loco a certain amount of mail it can carry is certainly not hard.

That would be great. I'm counting on you.
