Following on from the earlier request for an InterCity 225, it does seem that there is a real imbalance in the locomotives available in the UK scenarios. There aren't many freight locomotives available!
The Class 58, 60, 66 and 92 would all be interesting additions to the game - and they all look pretty good too. Similarly, why no BR 9F 2-10-0 steam lcomotive, which looks brilliant? Surely an even more glaring omission.
Perhaps a full British set could be created to add these, the IC225, the Class 170 (with powered centre coaches as an option) and other obvious omissions? Not that I remotely have the ability to even begin thinking about how to do that!

...muddling my Class 56s and Class 58s!
The 56 would be especially useful, as without it there is no advance in feright locomotive technology between the introduction of the Class 47 (which isn't specifically a freight loco in any case) and the introduction of the 58. That's a period of about 20 years! Seeing as the 56 is a development of the Class 47 and shares the overall shape, might it also be possible to tweak the Class 47 graphics?
The timeline for British locomotives as it stands (with the notable exception of the Standard 4MT tank) also ignores the post-war British steam locos. I mentioned the 9F, but the Peppercorn A1 and some other BR Standard classes would be useful in 1951.
Finally, for the time being, why not replace the Class 142 Pacer DMU with the Class 150/2 Sprinter? Add the Class 156 and Class 170 and there is a realistic progression of DMUs used on regional and suburban services with introduction dates from the late 1980s to early 2000s.

Yup, after the 150s, but they started coming on stream before the 150/2s.
Having said that, they were so close in time, you have to wonder at just how cheap the Pacer must have been to persuade anyone to order it in preference to the 150? Especially when you bear in mind that, as built, the 142s had mechanical transmission and were only later converted to hydraulic.
I must also admit to thinking that the 150/2 is far more visually pleasing than the 142 - which must rank as the ugliest passenger train ever to run in the UK. But when has a bus ever actually been interesting to look at?
