[Question] Locomotion rendering angles?

Post by Paasky »

I don't know if this has been asked before but here goes:

From what angles do I have to render my new vehicles (train wagons) for them to look right in loco? I'd like to make my own vehicles (some pictures in the link in my sig) and buildings but I don't know where to put the camera...

You didnt answer my question, cause NS_37's webspace has a Locomotion Camera setup file, i think it was made with Max 4 or 5.

I've got 3dsmax5 which doesn't want to start, so I'm creating the models with gmax and then rendering them in 3dsmax when I get my own pc working.

i would like to point out that constructing models in gmax wnd porting to max is not exactly an easy road, but it is possible, i did exactly that. you may want to reconsider your options to save yourself some of the headache, or just dont bother to texture or assing materials until you get into max, becuase its easy to get the shape over, just not the materials in the right order.

If you click any of my sigs links there are pictures of what I've done with gmax, there are no textures in any of them, I'll save them to when I get 3dsmax working.
