SuSE not free?

Last time I checked it definately was. I used to have SuSE 9 installed
GoneWacko. Making [url=irc://irc.oftc.net/tycoon]#tycoon[/url] sexy and exciting since 1784.

I have SuSe 9.1 os separate boot me too, i never payd a dime... Actually got it shipped for free, even

Ah, thats right, all Linux distros (except for Linspire/Lindows) comes with a free version. Just never found the personal SuSe.

As for BSD, yes, OS X is based on *NIX, mach, but uses BSD in some parts, and NeXtSteP other places. If you had to pick between Linux/FreeBSD to say which resembles OS X the most (or the other way around in fact) you would have to say BSD.

No, I would say "NeXTstep", which was creation of NeXT company that Steve Jobs were working in before merging with Apple and coming back to it =P

[EDIT] Ok, I was wrong, I give up :P.
MacOS X is a new operating system that is built on the foundation of BSD Unix and incorporates some NeXT technology.
