New grf handling

i think that would be simple to do a patch that allow you to select a combination of sets by activating only the name, 4 ex.:

now you can do this:

Code: Select all

[newgrf]
COMBO1
0 = 1.grf
1 = 2.grf

#COMBO2
#0 = 3.grf
#1 = 4.grf
#2 = 5.grf
i want to do this:

Code: Select all

[newgrf]
COMBO1
{
0 = 1.grf
1 = 2.grf
}

#COMBO2
{
0 = 3.grf
1 = 4.grf
2 = 5.grf
}
so you don't need any more to place an # before all numbers, but only before the combination name

hmmmm

or not have to place the # at all, but you can select what combo you want in the options menu?

now you have to restart the game to load the combination

The cfg file options are only preliminary. There'll be a GUI for newgrfs once they're supported a little better.

can any statement be made on how long it will take till OTTD supports newgrfs again, perhaps even in a more advanced way (say, e.g. dbsetxl)?
