No vehicles, ships or planes

Hi. I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I'm not entirely sure what to search for.

I'm trying to run TTD under Win XP. I downloaded the windows version of TTD and I have version 2.0.1 alpha 34 of the patch. (I only have the DOS version on CD)

When the game begins in 1925, I have 2 trains, a tender and a selection of wagons available. There are no aircraft, ships, or vehicles available. I assume this isn't normal.

I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know what I actually need to download and install to run TTD for Windows on XP. I have tried to search on this forum, but I'm not exactly sure what I need to search for. e.g. I've searched for "missing vehicles", "vehicle graphics" and various other phrases, but I haven't managed to find anything yet.

Well, as far as I know, this is quite normal, since original TTD vehicles don't appear until 1950. If you need more vehicles you can download them. Alternatively you can set the start year to 1950 - when most of aircraft, road vehicles, and ships become available.
