Scenario problem

Post by Quicksilver »

I've got OTTD r119b (2004-8-23) - that's how it is shown on the menu in OTTD - and have encountered a peculiar problem.

When you make a scenario, and save and then attempt to play it, I keep getting the following error message which causes OTTD to crash out:

!invalid string ID 0 in GetString

any ideas guys? I'm going to try the latest nightly build just in case someone else has found the same problem and has fixed it already....but I thought it worth mentioning to see if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Doesn't happen here.

Can you post your scenario so we can have a look at it?

haven't got my laptop here at the moment.

However when I get home, I'll try out the latest nightly build and see if that works....otherwise I'll post my test scenario here..

you cannot have scenarios without cities. The game will tell you that when you try to load it.
