Network map

Post by Philippe COCHET »

Hello everybody

I'm working on TT since the O version and now have upgraded my PC to XP because TTD is now running on (Thanks TTDPatch)

I have seen here a lot of pics of screenshots, but has anybody tried to edit the pic of the map in TTD ? :?:

It would be great for me to have a database with the pics of the networks I build...

Can someone help ? :?:

Well, this isn't exactly what you mean, but the Repostory does allow you to store images of your map along with saved games.

OK, Thanks
I have downloaded the GRFCodec utility and will test it this evening.
I had not yet downloaded it because it seems to me a little bit not easy to use.

It would perhaps be an idea to have a thumbnail pic of the network in the TTD Savedgames Manager, 'cause for me the name of the world, the number of vehicles or file size is not always remembering :?:

Well, that wouldn't be impossible, but it would be a fair bit of work. I think I might speak to the person who wrote TTDX Editor about that, as he has some similar code in TTDX Editor which shows a map of everything.

Ok, I have tested the GRFCodec program from J. Dexter website.
I was very happy to be able to edit the internal graphics of TT...
:?
So, this does not help me so much.
I have also asked the question direct to J. Dexter.
I have questions concerning TT Manager. I have error messages at loading (looking for plugins) and trying to install/uninstall plugins does not allow to open files installed in the folder were is TT Manager
I though also TT manager gived the number of vehicles of the game  ...

I attach two savedgames: one from me (fil transport, 167 trains, 52 road vehicles) and the other (multiplex that I had downloaded from your website and 'a little bit' modified : 147 trains, 13 road vehicles)

I hope you will find the networks interesting (thanks to Chris Doherty principles)

What are the exact errors you get? Can you attach your C:\Program Files\Owen Rudge\Transport Tycoon Saved Game Manager\PLUGINS2.INI file please?

Good idea, I'm sure that's be possible.

Sorry, I can't give an answer for the moment, I'm at work, and the TT software is on my PC at home...
And I will be on holiday between Xmas and 1st of Jan 2003...
But anyway, I have installed TT Manager in a subdirectory of TTWin95
That is perhaps the reason...
I'm going to change that...
Thanks

Well, assuming you used the Setup program and didn't install it in TTWin95 itself, it should be OK. But it might be an idea to uninstall it and then install it to the default path.
