big firey "Zzzz's" appear on my rails!!??

im using windows xp i enabled buildonslopes and higherbridges in ttdpatch.cfg and when i now play the game "ZZZzz" appears on my train rails in like a red/yellow fire gradient they appear to move too. i havent noticed if it appears anywhere else but has any1 else had this problem?!

so is it a graphic file or something? i only have the ones listed there and there for pre signals arnet they?

just remembered,, i did download a pack and had something to do with different signals, but i uninstalled TTD and reinstalled it and now there replaced with A red "0" and it is where the signals of the station is. if i cant fix it ill have to go back to an older ttdpatch or something i only wanted higher bridges on

yeh i installed a new station and some building but as i said i uininstalled and deleted everything and started from fresh... i want to use alpha 30 for the higher bridges but these "0's" now appear... weird

I recommend either replacing your original trg1[r].grf or reinstalling TTD from a new download.

ill try downloading another one, should the latest version of ttdpatch be compatable with higherbridges? because i insert it into ttdatch.cfg and it says

warning: invalid cfg line 'higherbridges on'

and thats using the latest ttdpatch

grrr i have too many versions on my desktop of patches etc ill start totaly from fresh, cant go wrong then.

i have tryed different downloads on the forum

but could some1 reccomend a place to download TTD for windows xp
and a ttdpatch that can have higherbridges etc

if i start from scratch everything should be ok?

Higherbridges is an alpha feature: http://www.ttdpatch.net/src/
Everything should work fine if you start completely from scratch; download it from one of the sites in the "List of Download Locations" topic in the General Transport Tycoon forum.

iv downloaded the latest alpha from the link you gave and im downloading TTD from the forum, when there downloaded what should i do? i need it to work on windows XP. i think the reason it went wrong earlier is because i installed everything wrong

Extract the files that you download into a new folder.
Use Shadow's Registry editor ( http://users.tt-forums.net/shadow/ ) to set the correct settings for TTD, using the folder you just created.
Copy the ttdpatchw.exe you downloaded into that folder.
Download the 'All new graphics' package from http://www.ttdpatch.net/ and copy the files into your that folder too (should make a newgrf folder with lots of files in it).
Now create a ttdpatch.cfg with your settings in it (yours looked fine but mine is attached if you want it).
Now run ttdpatchw.exe and it should work.
