detailed zoom level

Post by nzhook »

Although this proberly not somthing I would use that often the idea just popped into my head and I thought it would be cool to show OpenTTD off with :)

Currently we have 3 zoom levels, how about another thats closer in. It would mean expanding the tiles a little depending on how close you go... but if its thought about beforehand it could b thought about before the graphics are added. (eg. a detectable tile size for designers who do bigger tiles)

Anywho, the extra zoom level could get a closer view and possibly implement the populated towns suggestion someone else gave.. this way unless you want to see people walking around and cars moving you only have to zoom to the current one.

Anyone played the Bullfrog games (Theme Park, Theme hospital)???

And yes it would of course mean work would have to be put into maintaing the movements, BUT because theres no real need for accuracy here these could be randommly placed when zoomed into that level.

Hope that makes some sense,

Great idea! And whoever is working on this, please include another zoom level. i want to be able to see the faces of the people in the towns and I want to be able to read the license plates on the cars.

I also want to see what a person is reading if he/she is reading a newspaper! ;)

there is an angle of 45° from the upper border of the window where they can view, try to measure it and see, i done it and i noticed that they can see al least 1/2 of my room (at the height of 1m from the floor, they can see all my room floor)
