The game can display around 256 indexed colors. The eight colors in the company palette are reserved - they will not look blue unless the company color is blue ;-) So if you're asking whether you can use those eight shades as blue - the answer is no, you can't.

I attached two files (gimp palette files) with RGB colors from the OTTD palette.

Doesn't Photoshop have that "pick color" tool? You open up an image, click on this tool and then on the color. Voilá: There's your color. ;)

Right, you're not trying to tell me that Photoshop doesn't open Gif files, are you? If so you either messed up your installation majorly or you're using Photoshop 1.0 from 1989.

I think you need to do a little more research on your own. The palette files I attached here are plain text files with RGB values in them - it's exactly what you asked for.

If you need an image with all the colors or an ACO palette, make a huge screenshot and use photoshop to extract it's palette.

anyway, most buildings have independent base tileset, aka mud
i'll give it a go at some of those industries, how advance is the coding?, i mean, how much estimated time between having graphics and releasing industries?

I need the tiles to decide about the final shape of the industries and to hardcode their offsets in the code. I guess that the process should take between a week (if I'm around when the graphics are done) up to even two or three weeks. I hope I'm not too optimistic about this ;-)

In other (though related) news: the main problem for me now is not to break the newgrf support when adding new vehicles, and to do some plugin support wrappers.

When the new graphics are all finally added and the game is completely independant of the original ones, please can you still have an option to use the original ones. I still like them quite a bit, but I don't know what the new ones are going to be like yet....

Also are you going to make everything completely from scratch or are you going to steal stuff (with permission) from some of the other graphics that have been made by other people?

i've actually done a full conversion set for all trains!!! give it a try at the graphic japan set thread. was this spamming?, hope not, my intention was to make an independent batch of vehicles and terrain and buildings. and so far just tracks, tiles, and trains, and a generation of original hopper trucks

I'm interested in this work too, but I'm not as good graphic as anyone else :-) I think I'm able to make some waggons (for instance chemicals). One question: I've searched whole OTT graphic but I haven't found 3 variations of waggons e. g. for water. Does it mean that there are just 2 cargo sets, monorail and maglev share the same waggon graphics?

Thanks, it's lovely :)! But I decided to make my chemicals waggons open. I haven't put textures on barrels on that waggons, but there's a scratch (I'll make them in company colors and perhaps a mark "dangerous"):

Btw: Is your passenger carriage in any set? I'd like to see it in my game, 'cause it's great !
