Game lock-up in alpha 30

I updated to alpha 30 and whenever a plane crashed in my game it caused my computer to lock up and I have to reboot it. Is there any ways to fix this?

try changing switches releated with planes (for example planespeed switch) ... one of them may help

edit: oh and post crash**.txt (crashlogs)

I turned on the switch that prevents planes from crashing, it seemed to fix it, thanks Shadow.

Does it hang the game as soon as the plane crashes, or when it is cleared from the runway?

PS: you should be able to alt-tab or alt-esc out of the game and kill it.

When the plane is exploding.
FYI: I tried that the computer was frozen.

Ok, I just had a few of my planes crash, and that worked fine. I think I'll need your savegame, ttdpatch.cfg and newgrfw.cfg files to test this.

PS:you may want to re-enable plane crashing first, A plane usually crashes about once every 10-25 years and it was a guru galaxy that crashed.

If you can't re-create the bug try it on a Windows 98SE

Well, I tried it and I was able to crash all three of your Guru Galaxies.

I believe the error is somewhere other than the plane crashes, but for me to fix it you would have to save the game just before it hangs for you... that might not be easy to do.

That save was a few months after the error occured, I will try to do it again.

EDIT: I loaded the game and built a small airport then clicked on the hanger and my computer locked-up just like before...

EDIT2: I crashed a plane that I already had and it did not freeze atleast planes crashing doesent freeze it, but clicking on a road depo does.

Hmm I think I should go back to the last working version of the patch, Alpha 29 freezes too so I got alpha 28 and I need it's mkpttxt.exe file anyone have it?

That doesn't come with mkpttxt.exe only ttdpatch.exe

Ok I downloaded alpha 28 and had the SAME PROBLEM, since I wanted to play TTD I opened it without the patch and I still had that same problem. I even tried installing the game in another folder and it still did not work

The only thing I can suggest is you try and reinstall TTD.

Otherwise you're not getting any answers because nobody has any.
