TTDXC doesn't work

Post by edk256 »

I recently acquired an old laptop, a Dell Latitude CPi A400XT, and I put Win98SE on it, along with TTDpatch. THis ends my dependence on OpenTTD on my 2.8 Ghz gaming rig. So, i install TTDXC, in conjunction with TTDpatch 2.01 alpha 29 (so I could play with the USset), but alas! TTDXC doesn't work.

It says that it can't locate some dll.

I'll post a screenie showing the error dialog box later, as I am not home now. Please assist me...

TTDXC requires certain DLL components that come with newer versions of Windows, but not with the older ones. On the TTDXC website, there's an auxiliary install program you can download that'll install the required files.

Yes, in much the same way that some novelists still prefer to handwrite their novels with a pencil... but most of us use a word processor.
