trains don't load (maybe newstations?!)
Hi, take a look at teh att pic.
The train on the bridge just left Quarningwell South, where, as you can see, are lots of people and mail waiting. BUT, the train is completly empty! No passengers, no mail, no nothing. I've even set the train to Full Load, but it stays empty, on every station.
The only thing i can think of that causes this bug is the newstations patch, because the station is only 1x2 big. Is this true, or is there something else going on? What can i do about it?
by the way, i've got the same problem with 2 other trains. Their locomotives have a capacity for about 50 passengers, and they only load 5, and the rest of the train remains empty... (als 1x2 stations)

Well, i solved it by disabling the Freight trains option. I don't know what the use of it is anyway... It's prob. because i only have a single loc...Patchman wrote:Oh... with freighttrains on, trains will stop loading when they'd get too heavy for the engine to pull them. I don't know why it wouldn't load anything, but send me your savegame and I can try to find out.
That shouldn't be it, because the freighttrains option doesn't affect mail and passengers, does it?

It looks to me like it's an original TTD loco, and those of course wouldn't have been coded with TE since the native game doesn't support that. How do you handle that, anyway? Multiply some constant times its listed HP?

This was indeed the problem. With freight trains on, and mountain handling all on full speed, the problem was also solved. Prob. a combination of freighttrains and mountain handling... Weird do, because i don't know what a mountain has got to do with these trains... The mountain switch is only for a new speed when going uphill, right?Patchman wrote:I think all I need to know is your "mountains" setting. Does it have different settings for regular and electric railways? If so, make them the same and it might fix the problem.
