I am, by far, not a newbie when it comes to playing TTDX, however I have come to an issue that I've never run into (using the TTDX patch) where I can not seem to get certain types of cargo wagons when I use maglev trains.
I have access to Passengers, goods, mail and the armoured vehicle, but not any of the other cargo wagons, what do I need to do to enable them for Maglev trains?
Issue with Maglev Trains not having cargo cars....

that's because you are usign DBSet/DBSetXL ... maglev's there will never have those cargos (as in real life) ... you can back to orginall TTD vehicles by turning DBSet off and using Cht: Graphics, btu warning: all vehicles will change (there is no other way, stick with it or disable it)

you can disable it by clicking on green flag (and turning it into red) in Graphic Status window in TTDPatch (click and hold 2nd icon in menu during play, and choose proper option from menu which will appear)
or edit newgrf[w].cfg (for example by putting # sign before filename) but then you have to also do Cht: Graphics when you load the game
