Failsave on bulldozering industry

I was casually building a new line in today's nightly, when I accidently bulldozered a factory! It costed a lot of money, and my production went flat.

When you click on a industry, the screen has two buttons. One says location, and zooms in on the factory, and the other one is empty. Why not put remove there, and disable bulldozering? It is an expensive accident, bulldozering industry!

How'd you do that? I can't bulldoze them. Did you maybe set "extra_dynamite = true" in openttd.cfg?

Yes, with extra_dynamite, you can bulldoze industry. I'm working on removing that functionality, and adding it to the industry window next to 'location' as suggested.

Why would you want to intentionally bulldoze an industry though? I suppose if it is in the way but wouldn't it be better to go around or under.

Some industries are really too much in the way. Or 2 factories next to eachother? Etc. There are always reasons :)

Why buldoze an industry?

1) Erm, to bankrupt the AI even faster? :)
2) To place it in a better place.
3) Because it's in the way.
4) 'Cos you can. ;)
