he didn't get it to work.
basically what he did was,
he installed the 0.3.2 files then overwrote those files with those needed for 0.3.1

When is BiggerMaps going to become a patch I can switch on? *hopeful look*jacke wrote:Well, there is no bigger maps for 0.3.2 (yet). And you don't need to extract the bigger maps version in an existing openttd folder, because you get the whole game when you download the bigger maps version (well except of the ttd data files ofcourse).Slafs wrote:How did you do that, more detailed?Trainskier1406 wrote:Found another way (which actually works:P)
Install 3.1 ,then use winrar to unpackage bigger maps. Then install 3.2 ,install bigger maps again then run bigger maps.
I downloaded the patch, and unpacked it into the OpenTTD folder (with OTTD 0.3.2.1). When I start openttd bigmap.exe, I get OpenTTD 0.3.1 with big maps.

maps
what i did was install the bigmaps on top of whatever i had running, but then i get the nightly build sometimes so i know most of the language files get overwritten, the only thing i did was make a copy of the english lng file for the bigmaps and name it english1 so that i could have english on the bigmaps game. the openttd one wont work. everything seems to work fine in it, even new game graphics, the only problem i have is that when you get too close to 0X1022 tile it moves your view all the way down to 1022X0 strange, but at least there is water out there most of the time anyway.
