Oh, sorry about that. It's not because you've changed the graphics, it's because I foolishly forgot to update the version information.

So alpha 6 only knows about the american version of TTD...

It'll start with other versions too, but it'll have to rebuild the version information each time which can take several seconds up to half a minute (depending on how fast/slow your computer is).

It won't do any harm, but it's annoying...

Alpha 6 is out

Post by Patchman »

No changes to alpha 5 for the end-users ( :) ), just bug fixes to the new graphics. The Windows versions works again, and TTDPatch will properly recognize all versions of TTD now.

Thanks, Josef!!
(Both for the new engines in alpha 5, and for the last version)

But still no fix to the unified maglev switch?

The ship graphics doesn't work.
In fact, one of my games crashes because of that!!

But not the others (?).

Can you fix that, it's so boring to play with the old, ugly ship graphics.

Ooh he's added the Thalys!!! It should be a little more red though...

The thalys is a Dark Red with Silver train, like you can see here.

Forget that about the ship graphics, my mistake!!

BUT A WORSE THING: LOOK AT THIS ROAD VEHICLE:

This happens to every single road vehicle - you can't see the load!!
(Not important but annoying).

Alpha 8

Post by Patchman »

a new one every day... (at least until the graphics work, then I go on vacation.)

In 1.9.1 alpha 8 (December 15, 2002):
  • fixed new graphics in Windows version and a couple of other bugs
  • fixed road vehicles not showing load state
  • added possibility to change rv power and weight using action 0
  • plane graphics work now (no crash when leaving hangar), but the shadow isn't right
  • fixed bug with newgrf.txt > 128 bytes
Enjoy!
