Thanks Purno! I've put these on the site. You do good work! I see you contributing to all sorts of teams, and that's a great thing.
Will you be working on any more Japanese trains?

They are more difficult, no doubt - but of course they are very well known and it's important that they be right. Take your time and I'll look forward to them. The Japan set has a ways to go anyway, all the steamers need to be done and they won't be even started until the US set is released.

The links are a little complicated, I know. That's because each project (except the Planeset) has two complete websites, one pretty, and one rough but inclusive of more technical detail.
You want the tech site. To get there, use the link in my sig; select the Japan Railways option; select the Technical Data section from the menu; select the Technical Working Site link in the text of the page, and then you are on the working site. The Trains Table is the one you want, which shows all the trains, their pictures, and all sprites that are current. It's not really intended for people to actually stumble upon unless they are on the development team.

How would some of these as checkpoints? In germany there are many little thingies beside the rails, like the ones you can see on the pictures, but that are older ones. Today there are many little (or less little) light-gray boxes with electronics inside, or an emergency telephone (looks like an 1,5 m high post with a box on it ... ehm, look at this:
The F stands for Fernsprecher, which is an antique term for telephone
The F is printed on a white plate.

It's not a steam loco, it's one of the English-based diesel engines that's currently threatening Railion

Did I mention they are ugly? I saw one at Woerden last week. Despite their royal ugliness they are powerfull. It pulled a heck of a train!

It's a bit difficult, because I don't know the official name of it. But I found those:Purno wrote:Saskia, do you have any photo of that telephone?

But I think the other thingies are better suited as waypoints

What's the difference between a checkpoint and a waypoint?Saskia wrote:But I think the other thingies are better suited as waypoints

1. I can't make a grf, I only can try to draw the graphics.CZAR ALEKSANDER wrote:I would love tohave this a grf for TTDX , this ship is called Vaterland II
2. It isn't easy to draw this ship. Maybe I give it a try.
I don't know if there's any point to drawing more ships, the game is so limited as to how many ships you can have in the game. MB is already working on a separate alternate ship set.
