It depends on the timing. If you hit the "reverse" button when it's just passed the depot, it'll find it no problem. Same if it were the case that it decided to go to the depot just a little bit later.

You could say that the bus has a slightly smarter driver...

If a vehicle decides to autorenew but gets "Cant find local road depot", will it never try again?
