After running Simutrans on Linux resolutin dont returns back

It sounds like the game has crashed. Do you strt the game via therminal? if so were threre any error message?

hmm..

Might not be a soulution:

./simutrans -res [your desktop res]

But will solve the resulution problem(Bug?).

If it doesn't run stable in fullscreenn mode, try a windowed mode:
