My Problems with TTD Patch

Post by adamsund »

Hi,
I am a first time user of ttd patch, and i managed to install everything correctly. But when it came to the game, It didn't give me the option of bigger stations, when I put stations next to coal mines and any other producers, the cargo didn't go into the stations. I think there are probably a few more problems aswell. The cheats work fine.

Don't ask me whether the options are selected, because i even installed TTD Configurator to make sure. Can anyone help or does anyone suffer the same problems?

Cheers

Launching TTDX Patch

Post by HighPingDrifter »

You need to start the game by launching the "ttdpatchw19.exe" file, which will launch TTDX with all the new options & capabilities.

You have to place a normal station, and then place another station right next to it. For example, place a 5x4 station, and then a 5x3 station next to it, to get a 5x7 station.
when I put stations next to coal mines and any other producers, the cargo didn't go into the stations.
This is a feature - you have the selectgoods patch on. You must send a train to pick up the cargo, then the cargo will start going to that station. Alternatively, you may (as I do) prefer to play without this switch on.

Hope this helps!

Or you should try building stations by selecting the number of tracks and the length while pressing the CTRL.... its a messed up function cause I still dont get it.. but after a while of poking those buttons you will be able to place a 7x7 station.... :D

I use the dos version so this makes no sense to me.

I can see why you're confused, it's ttdpatchw.exe
and for you it's ttdpatch.exe

windows and dos version names differ by the little s

anyway, have lots of fun (if it works)
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

The large stations are easy...

To get a length of 7 it's CTRL and 5
To get a length of 6 it's CTRL and 4

For number of tracks, it works the same way

To get 7 tracks it's CTRL and 4
To get 6 tracks it's CTRL and 3
To get 5 tracks it's CTRL and 2

Hope that helps
