Even though in the map creation settings, I have the number of cities option set to medium.
The number of towns is enormous.
The whole map is cluttered with them.
I do not have the same problem when i create a desert map.
I would be thankful for the solution,
Cheers,

If the medium setting is too much, but low is too few, then use the custom setting and pick something in-between that's suitable.

Re: How to decrease number of cities in temperate climate?
Does the number of cities or their size is increased with the starting year.
I mean if i start in 1950 will the cities will be smaller and if i start in 2000's is it normal the city sizes is around 50k, at least some of them ?
Re: How to decrease number of cities in temperate climate?
No, the starting size of cities does not depend on the year.
Re: How to decrease number of cities in temperate climate?
IIRC starting city size defines the average number of houses, so if larger houses are available later, the population might be larger.
