Toshiba Satellite Laptop, Model C-50B! This morning after booting up my laptop I noticed 6-7 lines missing in the top of the PC's Monitor! The last time I talked to P.C.Max he said to replace the monitor would cost about $200.00 including Part's and Labor. The issue doesn't show up on the second Monitor!

That doesn't seem unreasonable for parts and labor to keep your existing machine. Laptops can be complicated to disassemble and reassemble.

But if you're willing to do it yourself, a "parts only" system is available for $30 shipped and most likely the display on it is good.

For $95 there's a functioning used system, just swap the HDD out. Or upgrade to SSD if you haven't already for a performance boost.

There's also one for $72 with no battery.
