crash problem

my TTD keeps crashing when full messages popups appear. When i choose to display all newsmessages in summary the game runs well. When i click on such a summary the programs crashes most of the times, not always though. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

ps.
some specifics:
using TTD, patch v 2.01.90, winxp, TTDX conf. v1.82

Do you get crash logs? Check you TTD folder and look for crash###.txt files. I need to look at those to see why it's crashing.

no, i don't get any crashlog(s). Is there a way to turn them on/off?

hm, can you post your CFG files ?

(btw. try newest 2.0 alpha 9 VCsbecause in pure alpha 9 was bug with lost vehicles)
