No, I just did this out of interest, as I have WFW 3.11 connected up to my network. (I also got MS-DOS 6.22 connected up with the Microsoft Network Client DOS - it's quite fun accessing your XP network from DOS!)

Now, why would people use Windows 3.1? Well, I like older operating systems and GUIs. (I have copies of Windows 1.01, 2.03, 3.0a, 3.1, 3.11, WFW 3.11, 95b, 98, 98 SE and XP) I still write some software for Windows 3.1 - see the Utility Base on my site (there's Title Bar Clock for example, which you can see in those screenshots - I find it very useful).
