I had some spare time left and because the more heightlevels in trunk and the 2CC Trains in NML reaching RC status (now released ) I played a 256x256 map.
Cargo set is ECS Vectors, Vehicle set is the German Road Vehicle Set 0.3alpha. I also have a handfull ships (redFish 0.4) but no airplanes.

I startet in 1910 and tried to use as many train models as possible, typically one model for each line.

My first line was from a coal mine and a sandpit to glass works using the swiss SBB A 3/5 for coal and french SNCF 140C for sand trains.

The whole area is quite packed. The coal mine is supplied with vehicles from the nearby vehicle factory by cargo tram. Also in there is a farm where modern diesel engines (chinese MTR8000) transporting fibre crops and cereals.

There is another coal mine nearby from where american 2-8-0 Consolidation transport more coal (the outer drop off circle). Because the coal mines are boosted by vehicles, I switched the station design to RoRo from the old terminus.
The glass is carried away by the czech CD 720 ChME2 (lower station) to a brewery and by british GWR 4900 (upper station) to the car factory.
Also in the screenshot are some american UP 4000 Big Boys hauling 12-tile iron ore trains up the mountain. (3103 tons full load)
On the right side is a SBB Ae 6/6 carrying steel to the vehicle factory. They used the iron ore line for some time, but at some time the traffic was too high and a alternative route had to be build.

close-up of the ore and coal mine loading station. The cargo tram is a GTw 35 and can transport 40 vehicles.

The steel works and also a tinning factory. The upper unloading station is visited by american AT&SF 5000 bringing coal from another coal mine.
For the tinning factory italian FS E646 bringing livestock. The processed food is then carried to Sadale by french SNCF BB 26000, 8-tile express trains. (They are quite new)

Shot of the steel loading station. On the upper side the steel for the vehicle factory is transfered. The small 2-tile train is a russian RZD VL41 transporting steel to the tinning factory. The 4-tile steel trains on the bottom are powered by croatian HZ 1141. They deliver steel to a factory.

The Sadale Oil Refinery once was the most important industry on the map. The steamers have been replaced by Diesels (Russian RZD M62) on the western line. But there are still heavy steamers (DB 52) in use for the steep eastern line down the mountain. To keep track of the vasts amount of oilseeds, 8-tile trains hauled by powerfull Russian RZD VL85 are used on the southern line with catenary.

Lewisbury main station. The line through Berlin main station is frequented by all sorts of EMU's, DMU's and engines with 160 km/h minimum speed. Due to heavy traffic, the former terminus station was extended to Ro-Ro with a entry loop. The side line down to Avonhattan via Facombe is served by EMU's with minimum 140 km/h. In the town itself there are 2 tram circles.

Second oil refinery on the map. It got connected to the network in the diesel era, but there are some steamers in the picture using the north-western coastal freight line. Later a electric single lane was added for fast food trains.

South-western climb to the central pass in the middle of the map. This is the busiest part of the map and did see quite some rebuilds due to additional lines needed to go through there.
