Howdy,

I don't get any error but still can't see my debug signs. I have the show competitor signs and station labels setting checked.

Hi,
Some time ago a new setting was added to Openttd which was turned off by default, but I think it's the setting 'Competitors names and signs displayed' you mention in your post.
This setting has to be on, then there are two other settings "station names displayed" and "signs displayed". Make sure they are turned on, too.
And look in transparency menu. There is an option to make signs invisible.

Howdy,

Looks like text values are o.k. It is just the numeric values that no longer seem to work. Do I need to convert the numeric values to text somehow?

b) check error after placing sign (see http://noai.openttd.org/api/1.3.0/classAIError.html)
